The final act of Gucci’s “French Trilogy,” the Spring Summer 2019 collection is dotted with French mottos as a tribute to the country. The runway show was presented in the Théâtre Le Palace in Paris as an homage to the theatre, originally constructed in the 17th century as a music and dance hall, it evolved into a club in the ’70s. This jacket has "Veste d'Homme pour Femme" embroidered onto the back with crystals—the French phrase translates to “Men’s jacket for women” which speaks to the dissolving lines of gender divides.
